Dream on. I had a few dealings with Drysdale when i was 15 or so in 1955. He had a small shop on Canal St in NYC. Was making a bare living building a few track and road race bikes and was a builder of unicycles for circus clowns. Forget the Zen and romance. He was simply trying to sustain a living after the bike craze of earlier years had paaed. On day i picked up my track frame after he straightened it for me, he snd his assistant were fixing a refrigerator. Anything to earn a buck. His reputation was of a good frame builder with amusing habit of leaving some little crude detail on bike if you insistead on say a head angle he didn’t like. …..JeffG
